I reckon Buffett is buying the brand rather than the technology. It’s making me look a bit harder at the financials and unpicking the structure to see if that is a viable thing. I guess the brand can be, carefully, transplanted to other items. But as the streaming service shows, first mover advantage can be pretty important.
